Antoni Benedykt Konstanty Lubomirski, of Szreniawa coat of arms (d.1761)
Marshal of the regular Seym in Warsaw 3 X - 14 XI 1746
Swordbearer of the Crown from 1754, Starost of Kazimierz.
He signed the election of Stanisław Leszczyński(1733), then
reconciled with the Saxon. He was an adherent of hetman Józef Potocki
(Czartoryskis' opponent). A frequent Seym deputy, considered to be
a prominent Seym orator - he had a great influence on the gentry.
In the 1738 Seym he demanded the Russian troops to be withdrawn
and in 1744, presenting the concrete project, he required to
increase the number of soldiers. Being unable to pass any law
in the Seym he chaired, he called it 'soulless assembly'.
In the 1748 Seym he delivered numerous speeches promoting
economic, fiscal and military reforms and on the principle of
majority vote (against the liberum veto). When S.Konarski's
'O skutecznym Rad sposobie' (A Way to Effective
Counsels) appeared in print in 1760, he sent a congratulation
letter to the author and several dozen copies of the book
among the gentry.
