TEODOR LUBOMIRSKI, of Szreniawa coat of arms (1683-1745)


He opened extraordinary Seyms in Grodno: 22-27 VIII 1729, broken before the Marshal was elected, and 2-14 X 1730, where he was a substitution Marshal for the deceased Stefan Potocki, Marshal of the previous Seym.


Starost of Spisz from 1700, Palatine of Cracow from 1732, Field Marshal of Austria from 1736.


Son of Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski. An adherent of Stanisław Leszczyński, on whose side he led a successful guerrilla war in Little Poland in 1703-09. Afterwards, although he was among the leaders of the Potockis' opposition camp, he reconciled with August II. In 1733 he supported the candidacy of August III for the Polish throne. A Knight of the Order of the White Eagle (1730). He declared for reforming and increasing the army. He was in friendly relations with Stanisław Konarski and financed the Collegium Nobilium.
